Royal Canadian Air Force Memorial Service

On Saturday, the 10th of May the village will be welcoming members of the Royal Canadian Air Force at an annual memorial event which takes place at 2:30 pm.

This annual event commemorates the sacrifice made by members of the Royal Canadian Air Force (Squadrons 429 and 415) during the Second World War when stationed at East Moor. Following the service at the roadside memorial (located at the east end of the Village) a memorial service tea is kindly provided by the YMCA and all are welcome to these events.

Meals on wheels in Huby

eddcaThe Meals on Wheels service supplies a freshly cooked, hot two course meal, delivered by a team of friendly volunteers, who are DBS checked, at a cost of £6.00 per day.

The service runs on Tuesdays and Thursdays each week and meals are delivered between 12.00 noon and 1.00 pm.  All the meals are designed to provide a wholesome and balanced diet and a different meal is provided each day from a varied programme.
