On Saturday, the 10th of May the village will be welcoming members of the Royal Canadian Air Force as an annual memorial event which takes place at 2:30 pm.
This annual event commemorates the sacrifice made by members of the Royal Canadian Air Force (squadrons 429 and 415) during the Second World War when stationed at East Moor. Following the service at the roadside memorial (located at the east end of the Village) a memorial service tea is kindly provided by the YMCA and all are welcome to these events.
